As Long as you are breathing you are living.
You are alive as long as you have breath in you.Imagine yourself floating in space and your oxygen tank runs out and you are fainting due to lack of oxygen and breathing very heavily and your eyes are slowly shutting down, you know you are going to die now and your eyes are a few seconds away from shutting down forever. Then suddenly through the very micro opening of your eyes you see a packet of oxygen floating from nowhere towards you. This small packet of oxygen means life to you. A ray of hope, a ray of life is drifting towards you slowly and slowly. Only then you do realize that how important oxygen is for life.
Therefore we must save our lives and the lives of the future generations by saving oxygen on earth. We have to eliminate pollution from whole Earth in order to Live and have a sustainable future for future generations of both humans and other creatures yet to come. Plant more trees and stop vehicular pollution. Stop the Industries from releasing harmful gases in air that we need to breathe.
Detailed measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) levels have been taken continuously for more than 50 years. The data show that CO2 levels have steadily increased every year. Today they are 25 percent higher than in 1957.

Recently NGT ( National Green Tribunal ) in India banned the diesel vehicles from travelling to Rohtang Pass, Manali, Himachal Pradesh which is a Himalyan State. It not only banned diesel vehicles but also restricted the Petrol vehicles going from Manali to Rohtang Pass to 500. As the increase in pollution has been causing melting of glaciers. As vehicles release Black Carbon which after settling down on glaciers heat them up causing to melt them at a faster rate. Due to this some glaciers are being reduced in size. At some places reduction of 52 metres in size per year has been recorded on average. NGT asked the state of Himachal Pradesh to replace diesel vehicles by CNG vehicles and to arrange CNG pumps at various locations so that CNG vehicles could start operating but unfortunately due to carelessness of state government to address the ecological issues No arrangement has yet been done. Himachal Government fails to provide CNG
The locals are complaining about destroying their livelihood but saving their homes from pollution is for the larger interest of local people as they do not realize the dangers posed by the pollution on their environment. The tourists come to this place is for one main reason and that is the beautiful landscapes and availability of clean and serene environment which calms their head after living hectic lives in cities. They won't even realize the beauty of this place stripped away by pollution if they keep letting the tourists in such large numbers pollute this place.
How can these people be so insensitive towards their own homes. Are they so money hungry that they would sell their homes where they were born ? Where would they go finally ?? Delhi ?? The most polluted city on Earth or Kolkata the most populated city in India or Mumbai ?? The city that is predicted to drown given the rising levels of Sea due to same Global Warming.
People of Himalayas are blessed to have been born into the safe and serene environment. It's not like their livelihoods will be destroyed after ban, people have been living here for thousands of years before driving taxis and they can manage to live a thousand more with the ban.
The earlier the people realize the importance of environment for their future generations , their children the better it will be for the whole of Humanity and whole Earth.
